A quick favorite from this morning’s sweet wedding at L’Auberge. xo

Emily + Paul held their morning wedding at the beautiful Rancho Valencia Resort – with the ceremony on the Croquet Lawn, and the reception on the Sunrise Patio. It’s such a private and romantic location to hold a wedding – and absolutely perfect for Emily + Paul’s Moroccan themed brunch wedding. A cool thing about morning weddings is that you have the option of taking your couple portraits at the end of the wedding coverage, so you can stay through your cocktail hour, and “losing light” is not an issue. This is exactly what we did, so while guests were leaving, we casually walked the property and took a full hour of portraits together – much longer than we normally would have had. They were so relaxed, and I felt so spoiled to have all that time with them. :-)
Enjoy a few of my favorites, below, including some of the gorgeous details that the gracious and talented Susanne Duffy of Crown Weddings planned for them. Jennifer Cole Florals created the florals that were a perfect compliment to the Moroccan theme, Eric of Blue Pearl is always a pleasure to work with, Extraordinary Desserts laid out an amazing cake table, Jennifer of Simply Posh Design polished the decor with her custom paper creations, and Michael “Gonzo” Gonzales entertained us with his soothing voice and guitar rhythms. A special Thank You, also, to Meredith at Rancho Valencia for taking great care of us. :-)
Emily was stunning sweetness in this Amsale wedding dress. (and I love how the light caught her eyes)

Emily’s handsome Groom, Paul. :-)

I love love artistic portraits – shooting through flowers and playing with light – but I will always value a solid “look at the camera and smile” portrait.
Their comfortable body language is what keeps it fresh, and they look beautiful.

But speaking of art… This is also how I see my couples. :-)

Congratulations, Emily + Paul. ~ Love, Pam xo
More to come of my gorgeous morning wedding with Emily + Paul. xo

It’s so fun to photograph weddings where you have a history with the couple and their family. I met Kim when I photographed her bridesmaid Jamie’s wedding, and in between, I photographed Kim’s sister Corinne’s wedding! :-) I loved having three of my special couples all in one place, and it reminded me (once again) how much I love what I do.
The wedding was held on the Ocean Terrace of the beautiful and charming Casa Romantica, on the coast of San Clemente. I totally fell in love with the venue – charming, historic and with an incredible view of the Pacific. Wedding planning was by the very sweet Lisa Wagoner of super yummy Iva Lee’s, fun florals were designed by McKenna Floral, and James of Last Dance Entertainment kept everyone moving (and kindly got my dinner for me). ;-)
Congratulations to Kim + Justin! I loved sharing this night with you. xo

This shoot was a concept I had for a senior session that morphed into something even cooler than I ever imagined. I enlisted the help of a very talented makeup artist, a fabulous jewelry stylist, and an awesome girl who was more than happy to play dress up with us. :-) We brainstormed three fun and totally different looks, but in the end, those initial concepts were really just guidelines… The session totally took on a life of its own, and we loved every minute of it.
Everything was shot on location in Rancho Santa Fe and La Jolla – with three outfits, three full makeup changes, and two photographers capturing all the magic in between. We laughed and played fashion shoot, and the photos are a perfect blend of personality and art. I loved loved loved this session, and can’t wait to see who’s ready to play next!
The first look was inspired by Taylor Swift, although Kelsey absolutely made it her own.
Makeup by Eileen Haligowski, Jewelry styled by Emily Smiley for Stella & Dot.

This was too fun not to share. We had a good time finding a natural “play with your hair” pose. ;-)

And we found it. :-)

Our second look was planned as kind of a Jackie O/big city girl, but the red lips took us straight to Paris!

You know you want this necklace. ;-)

In this one, it’s all Bond Girl. ;-)

Same dress, but different jewelry, and quick change of hair = surprise look 2.5!

Our final look was planned as “beach shimmer”, but La Jolla decided there wouldn’t be any sun for us.
That’s okay because the stormy skies (plus Kelsey’s awesome hair!) said “Beach Goddess” instead.

If beautiful women rose out of the sand, this is what they would look like! :-)

I’m ready for more! Call or email me for info on scheduling your senior session. ~Pam xo

This wedding was amazing in so many ways – the obvious passion of the couple, the dreamlike ceremony florals, the emotional vows and the jaw dropping reception decor. Denise + Tim’s wedding was intimate and perfect in every way. Thank you to a wonderful couple who has a full life of love ahead of them! xo

I love the light and classic beauty of the Organ Pavillion at Balboa Park.

Amazingly sweet and personal vows. (tears) xo

Jacqui gets the prize for most excited Bride EVER. :-) I love this couple – they are so well matched, and it was a total joy to photograph them together. As a photographer, the most satisfying feeling is knowing that your couple trusts you, and watching them relax in front of your camera. Thank you to Jacqui + Andrew for inviting me to capture this special time for you. xo I am totally excited for your September wedding at the Coronado Island Marriott. I know Susanne Duffy of Crown Weddings will plan a beautiful day for you. :-)

Aaah ~ Four Seasons Maui… Bo + Ray hosted a beautiful wedding on the island, and despite how far I travelled to be there, I felt right at home – maybe because half of the vendors were from San Diego! :-) The stunning floral design was by Karen Tran and her amazing team, and I was assisted by my dear friend and talented photographer, Lauren Ong. We also had beautiful custom papers by my “favorite paper girl in the world” Jennifer Dailard of Simply Posh Design… and although she wasn’t there with us, we felt her talents in spirit. :-)
We were also joined by some new faces – Elysium Productions, for video that I’m sure will wow us all, and Denise Black of the Four Seasons, who kept us all on schedule. Thank you! xo
Enjoy some of my favorites, below, and be sure to visit Karen’s site for more of my floral photos, soon. :-) Congratulations to Bo + Ray!! :-)

So excited to share a peek from my destination wedding to the Four Seasons Maui, this past week. Bo + Ray threw a fabulous affair for their closest friends and family – full of laughter, happy tears and eye candy galore! Enjoy one of my favorite images below, and keep watching for the full post! xo
