Danielle & Brian ~ Downtown San Diego

We had SO much fun during this session.  I met Danielle and Brian this past September, when I photographed Brian’s sister Jamie’s wedding.  I was so flattered when Danielle called me up and asked me to photograph their wedding, too!
For this session, we walked a few blocks of downtown San Diego, stopping wherever there was great...

USS Jefferson City ~ Pre-Deployment Portraits

These guys were amazing, and I was honored to photograph them before their 7 month deployment in a submarine.  For many of them, it was going to be their first time out, and I felt really proud and excited for them.  THANK YOU to the USS Jefferson City SSN 759 Weapons Department, and their families, for their...

Wedding: Jamie & Daniel ~ Friendly Hills Country Club

What a really cool couple to work with…  Jamie and Daniel were so relaxed on their wedding day and easy going – it made my job a breeze.  Everything went smoothly at Friendly Hills Country Club, and Jamie and Daniel had a super fun bridal party and great family to enjoy the day with.  Special thanks...

Wedding: Diana & Oliver ~ Los Angeles

I have to share a few favorites from last night’s wedding with Diana and Oliver.  They got married at the Smog Shoppe in L.A., which is literally a converted auto shop – complete with giant metal bay doors.  In contrast to it’s name, it is one of the greenest urban spaces in the country – with...

Wedding: Maria & Justin ~ Carlsbad

E-session: Kathryn & Michel

Sometimes I like getting fibbed to.  For example, Kathryn fibbed and told me that she and her fiancee, Michel, were shy about having their portraits taken…  Just scroll down and you will see – fibs – all of it! :-)  There was so much love and laughter during this session – they both did a...

Demi ~ 18

My BFF’s oldest daughter just turned 18 and is getting ready to leave for college – WOW!  When I was up at her house, for her graduation party, there were photos displayed from her Senior Prom.  As soon as I saw her prom dress, I said, “I know a beach in La Jolla where you...

family playdate at the beach

Earlier in the year, I had taken little Sienna’s preschool portraits, and her mom asked if I photographed families, too. Yes, I do! I loved meeting up with them in La Jolla, one morning, when we had the beach pretty much to ourselves. Even though I visit this beach quite often, no two sessions are...

Sisters at Shell Beach

I loved seeing these girls the other day! Their family visits every Summer from Northern California and they call me for a family session.  This year, mom decided to just have the girls photographed, so we did a little “modeling” at Shell Beach.  I can’t believe how much they’ve grown up over the past few...

Family in San Diego

David and Yvette were my very first Bride and Groom, so it feels extra special when I get to photograph them with their kids.
It’s always a little tricky to photograph toddlers, since they’re on the move, but it adds some extra fun to the portraits.  The group sitting becomes less posed, and a little more spontaneous. :-)
If...
